PA is short for PAL

Erin O'Connor with her PA, Fiona, on Day Four, after Todd Lynn.

It's clear why she's her PA: like Erin, she's just so damn nice. Just looking at her makes you want to smile. I had no idea people in this industry were so nice! But it's true: the higher up the ladder of success people get, usually - not always, but most of the time - they're just truly nice people.

THIS JUST IN: Just received an Anonymous Tip, I've got the wrong end of the stick. Fiona is SO not her PA, in fact, she's actually the person who discovered Erin! Her name is Fiona Ellis and she's co-founder of NK Management, among other achievements in her stellar career. And I can vouch for this: she is really, really nice. No wonder she and Erin are such good pals.

. . . . . . . .

Well this story just keeps getting more & more interesting. To me, at least. I've just received ANOTHER Anonymous Tip. Seems I've got it wrong AGAIN. I just keep putting my foot in it, and digging myself a deeper hole. I've contacted NK Management, spoke with Niamh who is so so nice, and then today, I discover that Fiona, or 'Ellis' as she's known (to everyone but me, apparently) has a really cool website. Click here if you'd like to see it.

So: Aonymous. Who are you? Are you an all knowing, all seeing, God? Or Goddess? It's freaky because Ellis's website starts out with a large, jeweled eye, and it feels like the Eye of God which is watching down upon me, laughing at my endless series of pratfalls & blunders. And feeding me tidbits of Truth along the way. Whoever you are, I am humbled, and grateful.

a thing of beauty is a joy forever

Sorry, can't resist: another shot of those gorgeous red suede wedge booties @ LFW. And, I still can't find them. Can ANYONE out there please tell me who makes them? Why didn't I simply ask one of the women wearing them? I can't even find it on net-a-porter, which is making me wonder if they really exist.

I did, however, stumble upon these Louboutins, called 'Christian', and I didn't spot (or, dot) a single woman wearing them at Somerset House. Cool, huh? They'd have worked with just about everything I saw in the past week.

FASHION UPDATE: an Anonymous Source has revealed that it 'may' be Emilio de la Morena, possibly A/W 09. Further investigation by self has unearthed a vogue.com post by Jessica Bumpus, dated 22.02.09 that shows catwalk models all wearing what looks suspiciously similar to Those Boots. But she says they're by Charlotte Olympia, who is showing similar suede wedge shoes, but so far, I've yet to find the boots. Fear not, tho, as we're narrowing in on the little critters.

candy kane

I'll tell you exactly how I feel right now: like it's the days after Halloween. I was never big on sugar as a child: it gave me headaches. I just didn't get it and to me the toughest part of birthday parties was making my way thru all that butter cream frosting (we didn't do sugar in our house). I did, however, get into the whole costume thing big time (obviously) but I was so not the kid who gobbled down all the candy in their bag and then devoured their siblings' stash.

Instead, I'd save the big bag and go through it slowly, painstakingly, appreciating the packaging far more than the actual sugar rush. And I gave away far more than I consumed.

Well that's the same thing that's happening now: as I go through these hundreds, thousands of London Fashion Week shots, giving it away to all you lovely people out there, I'm finding shots of people I don't recall shooting. This woman, for example. I mean, what is that under her grey tee? Is it a real (as in not Topshop) Christopher Kane? Normally I'd have asked if she had time for a shot, and dragged her off to a quieter background, but I kind of like the clutter behind her: compositionally, it's.. interesting. But what do I know: all these images, I'm getting a bit of a sugar rush.
