All this cold weather has had me dreaming of spring: light, summery frocks.. I've been wondering what the shape of shoes will be this S/S, since everything at LFW last September was big, clunky, Acne-esque black wedge booties. Frankly, what I'm planning to wear are my black Zara courts, with tights, over the knee black socks, or little white or pastel anklets. And pretty skirts & dresses. Like these.
I've been a huge fan of Louise Goldin's work ever since I first heard of her, last April, when I shot a the lovely Jo in Louise Goldin for Topshop ('all that glitters'). I've been keeping my eye out for this beautiful designer, who started out with knitwear, ever since.
Well this just in: she's doing her first line of SHOES for Topshop. Classic, grown up, court shoes, the same ones from the fabulous SS 2010 catwalk show (above). I've just got my paws on the photos: they're in my two favourite colours (especially together): black and pale ballet pink/nude. They're sexy and feminine and sparkly and... sharp. I mean, literally, sharp. Which is so 2010: getting that balance between soft & sweet & feminine, & biker tough.
In the shops (& presumably, online, too) come 5th February. Something to look forward to while we're hibernating at home with our PG Tips.

i love the soft pink ones! those would be amazing. thanks for your comments! off to florida?! lucky girl... i could seriously use 30 degrees and some sun! if you ever fancy a tour of oxford just give me a shout! xx
I will. Absolutely. I should clarify tho re: Florida: my mom told me, & she meant fahrenheit. As in below freezing. It hardly seems worth the bother.
oh, wow, so cool!
xoxo
nice selection here, J. i could definitely see you wearing one of the dresses with those black spiked heels!
you know, i was thinking about nudey pink frothy dresses (worn w/ pops of black) recently...after seeing someone wearing one on another blog called "that's so chic". anyway, when i'm visiting Florida (leaving tues, yay!!) i'll check out Rodarte's Target line. apparently it's all frothy, foamy concoctions, very femme like these here from Goldin.
i'd wear these dresses with something unexpected, such as...well, such as the "sharp" pumps featured here. and my silver and leather stud bracelets!
I'm in love with the black shoes even if i dont like " escarpin " !
xx

Sweetness galore!
Ehhhhhhhhhhh Louise Goldins shoes for topshop disappointed me. The original photos were so much more golrious and almost too hot to handle for a simple mass market shoe. I should have known it was too good to be true! These look like 3 seasons too late on the trend.
OMG. They're gorgeous. I have such shoe-lust right now!
