There isn't time - time is too precious to me, right now - to spend indoors, online. I am out there, in the real world now. But I'm gathering images, like nuts, burrowing them in secret hideaway spots, to take out later on, in winter. Images which I will then share with you all.

Hope wherever you are, it's real. And that you're not even finding the time to read this.

  7. Jill - thank you for this post. Even though you don't know it you've made me realise that it's ok that I haven't blogged for over a month and that I haven't gone into situations thinking "phew this gives me a blog topic for next week". This year's been my toughest yet - I've had to work very hard and this summer has been the beacon on the horizon for so long that now it's here I know I need to make the most of it. I need to take hold of it and pull it as hard as I can - squeezing out every last drop. I need to soak up all the encounters, the conversations, the smiles, the hugs, the memories; the inspiration that will carry me through my next academic year. I need to live this summer and this time that is all mine and mine alone for myself; not for my blog, my cv, my writing credentials; not for anyone or anything but me. I hope you are doing the same Jill. Wishing you the most wonderful, relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. Let's catch up via email soon, Alexandra xx

  8. Thank you for this, Alexandra. It's a sign of health, I feel, to get offline on a regular basis, and become deeply in the REAL world!

Yes let's talk when we're back. Leaving tomorrow, counting down hours, heading off to swim shortly. Hope all's well. And thank you for taking the time to let me know: often.. well you know what it's like. Blogging. We're just singing in the rain, with no idea if anyone is listening!
