these dresses are amazing!
there is something stunningly Great Expectations about this photo. i also like that it was not a sunny day- it matches the girls! beautiful.
i just realized i already made the grey point! aargh losing my mind. still beautifil though :)
The shoot you did looks so amazing! Really vintage inspired, and beautiful...
The resses look like they've been lifted from some magical place, and the juxtaposition between these girls in ball dress, and them having bare feet in the park works really well.
It obviously turned out really well. Who was it for?
And thankyou for your incredibly sweet comment (if I'v elaready replied to it- then sorry! But I have a feeling I didn't)
This photograph is too gorgeous for words - I really think it should be in a fashion magazine. The models are divine - as are the clothes. I'm especially loving the draping of Georgie's dress; as well as the very Audrey Hepburn/Breakfast at Tiffany's elbow-length black gloves. Stunning! :)
Jill I'm more and more blown away by your amazing photography!
So funny my mom saw you AGAIN to day but she was in the car :)
anyway we must meet up this weekend if your not away or in half term at least I have two weeks holidays from friday!
Love,
Nicky x
Jill, this is incredible. you've captured their beauty, a sense of whimsy and delight, also. The bare feet is an unexpected contrast to their dressy ensembles. I love this!!!
thank you, every single one of you for your lovely comments! it's funny i feel i 'know' each of you who have commented (& nicky, i really do know!) & enia, i know we just virtually met, but thank you.
it's funny everything each of you said was planned and intended, so it's fabulous feedback to see that you're noticing. the weather was the one thing we couldn't control: my vision from the start was overcast weather to give that 'english' light, which is why we chose that day.
then suddenly: it was a 'perfect day'! but not to us!!! so the first hour or two, i was doing the shots in as shady places as possible, which gave very harsh spots of light & shadow, of course. it was only later that the light started working the way we wanted: almost stormy.
i was shooting barefoot with them, running around on the cool grass which was getting cooler. perhaps it's because i'm not as young as i used to be, but i'm sure this stinking cold i've been trying to shed in the two weeks since the shoot is a result of the good/bad light.
i might do a post right around this... hmm... maybe this is just a rough draft ; )
& enia i don't mind at all you commenting twice. i love getting comments!!
nicky, will email you. i could actually be around tomorrow. xoxo
jill- you really did a good job on this photoshoot.
