So enjoying this NOW PROJECT with my new Samsung phone: I'm finding I'm barely shooting with my Canon, while learning how to use the camera on my phone and playing with the app. More of my shots here.
I love your comments on the previous post, thank you. The truth is I'm pretty shy about having my photo taken, too. I guess that's why I used to do the stuff with the timer: it's like how some actors are actually shy in real life. It's a way of trying to overcome that. That's also why I talk too much. So I really related to what you were all saying.
Next up: Dot's Top Tips for shooting at fashion week. An etiquette guide.
Back to the pool for one more swim before tonight's film at the 'clubhouse': The Girl Who Kicked a Hornet's Nest.
What are you doing right now?

Loving your 'tips' posts Jill! Can't wait for the next one - I think I'll have a lot to learn seeing that I usually shove the lens on people's faces without asking...
This photo really shows why you had to get to Florida... Hate you for being somewhere this amazing looking. I don't necessarily like swimming so much but that water is calling my name.
Looks like you're having a fabulous time in Florida.
I want a customised tshirt with bold slogant saying 'DON'T SHOOT ME' so I can wear it at LFW.....reason? I'm shy of course.
I am excited to hear what you have to say about fashion week!!
Love that photo!! Isn't the camera so much fun to play with?!
Can't wait to read your shooting tips - always so much fun and helpful :)
@Kit
Love your t-shirt idea!
@Dot
Can't help but be jealous that you're sitting in a warm climate and it's just begun to snow again here in Sweden. Looking forward to Spring more and more!
I'll look forward to your tips - I need them! xx
Ooh Kit let's make the shirts! I'd definitely wear one. I even know a great t shirt print guy south of the river - I did a whole line of Obama tee shirts (it's somewhere on my blog in the early days...
here we go: http://streetstylelondon.blogspot.com/2009/04/oh-my-ive-been-dotted.html
Thanks all! Andie & Shini sorry re: the weather. My sister's up in Massachusetts (USA) and whenever she calls and my mom fills her in our day she begs her not to talk about the weather - they're snowed under. I feel SO lucky.
style east, krystle, shopgirl: coming up later today ; ) xxxxx
That's a great shot of the pool, the colours seem saturated, like an old movie - almost sepia.
Deliberate?
I'm being a rather insufferable b*tch and my boyfriend is having to put up with me. That's what I'm doing right now. I wish I was in an idyllic place like the one in your picture :)
I. Want. To. Be. There. A generous high of 18 degrees today in upstate NY, and this photo looks like complete and utter bliss. Also, great quality for a camera phone! :)
xx np
What a pool, Jill, you lucky girl! Like Mr Dot I'm intrigued by the old-fashioned sepia feel of the photo. It looks wonderful. When will you be back to gritty, cold UK? xoxo
