sixties icon

Met Victoria, who was visiting from Edinburgh, near home around South Kensington. I love her colour sense - the textures, that flash of aqua on her nails. It's funny, with me - I don't wear red, but I love when people can use red with this kind of sophisticated.

Everything's vintage - all the Sixties. She loves the Sixties, and I can see why. I wonder if she lived in that period, in a past life.

Oh Jill, I've been away for so long and this is the first blog post I've read since I last posted way back in September. I can't say I'm disappointed either - I needed to see some real, on the street fashion and photography to motivate me to make time to post again and you've given it to me. What can I say, these shots are beautiful. Looking at the second photo this girl could have walked straight out of a time machine from the sixties - she looks perfect.

You'll be pleased to know that I FINALLY got a new camera! It's a Canon 600d with an 18-55mm lens and it is truly fantastic. I haven't had it a month and already I've taken about 2000 photos, I love it! It has definitely inspired me to do more photography and I'm really chuffed with the results so far. I'm considering doing a mid-week post every week purely of photos to break up the longer writing-centred posts I usually end up posting on the weekends, what do you reckon?

Anyway, lovely to be back, I was in the middle of writing a post but got distracted by your comment on my Jane Eyre post so thought I'd pop over and say a belated hello! Hopefully I should get this finished by tonight or tomorrow and get back into my bloggy routine. I've got a few ideas rolling around in my head at the mo which is always lovely so if all goes to plan i'll be putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys) and get all the thoughts out of my head!

Have a lovely Sunday, Alexandra xxx

She looks so classically 60's and contemporary all at the same time. Super cute.
