shining silver bubble

The strangest thing has been happening to me: all week, lying at home with this fever, sleeping on and off, I've had these little mini-dreams which aren't dreams, really, just images of photos to post on my blog. The recurring image was a woman with black hair in a white dress. The day I posted Scarlett's shot, I had gone thru my fashion week shots trying to find this woman, but it wasn't her... I have a very clear picture of a smiling girl in a white lace dress and black tights and a dark brunette bob, but I haven't found that image. Instead, when I tried again today, I found this very similar looking girl, in silver. Does anyone have a clue who made this dress? Anonymous, any Tips? I don't usually like bubble skirts, but I feel she wears this well. A bit La Dolce Vita meets the Tin Man.

Looking back in the past week, it's as if there's this brunette bob-haired angel in white, who has been looking over me. And apparently, according to several medically savvy friends, it WAS swine flu, altho Mr. Dot says that's nonsense. Anyway, it's nearly gone now. Glad to get that out of the way!

p.s. I love this 'sourcing' game: big thank you to Roz and browneyedgirl, who both came up with Matthew Williamson & almost the same time. I KNEW the dress looked familiar: I think I actually saw it in his shop. (I take Roz'a point: he's managed to take a bubble shape, which is usually so cringe-making 80s, and given it a lovely late 50s silhouette: quite clever). He is one of my all time favourite designers, British or otherwise.

Great dress (no idea who made it) with the wrong bag. She's lovely, but I wish she'd resisted the impulse to show of her fabulous, expensive "It Bag" and gone with a little evening clutch instead.

She's stunning. The total picture is just so futuristic yet classy and sophisticated. I absolutely love these photographs.

Glad you're beginning to feel better, darling! :)

Isn't the dress Matthew Williamson? I'm poretty sure its one of his designs..
And you're right, it is a bit of a strange silouhette, but it does work perfectly here. Quite 50's style in shape? I think it's because the colour is quite understated, even if the pattern isn't!
Thanks for yet another lovely comment, and it probably is where I got my cold! I really enjoyed being able to have all that creative freedom behind the camera too.

glad you're on the mend! :)
her dress...a bubble dress with bubbles, it seems! anyway, it's fascinating. i'd never wear all that silver at once (and the purple nails, no) but she is so striking, if anyone can do this look, it's this lady. another "fabulous" post (and i don't use that word lightly)! xo

Oh, I love this sourcing game!! Will add. Thanks, Roz & browneyedgirl!

sophiesophia: I think it's a totally different girl! But they all look like this 'angel' in my delirious dream. Very weird.

And Amy, Erika, Stephanie, thank you! xx
